Chris joined WYSEF in the fall of 2020. Chris appreciates the foundation’s role in promoting cross country skiing as well as its role in making sure the Rendezvous Trail System continues to have some of the best grooming in the country. Chris has been a part of the West Yellowstone community for since 2014, regularly volunteers at the local ski races, and was an assistant coach for the WYSEF ski team for 4 years. Growing up in France, Chris remembers nordic skiing became a part of his life when he was around 11 years old, while on a cross country ski vacation with his parents. From the minute he put on the nordic skis, he was hooked! Nordic skiing became his favorite sport. For many years, he only got to ski once a year, and because of this he decided that when he was able to semi retire, he would move to a place where he could ski everyday for half the year. He chose West Yellowstone because of the terrain, the reliable snow, and the excellent grooming. During the summer months, Chris enjoys the area by hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking.
