WYSEF Board Member
Jack joined the board in 2014. He wanted to be a part of the organization because of its contributions the skiing community as well as the community of West Yellowstone as a whole. He likes being a part of something that has contributed to the long history of cross country skiing in the Yellowstone area. He values the investment that WYSEF makes to provide local children with the opportunity to experience cross country skiing and racing as after school programs for low cost or free. Jack’s own history with skiing started during his college days. He was a competitive runner, and picked up cross country skiing, and then cross country ski racing, as a means of cross training. During this time, he regularly attended the annual Ski Festival (Fall Camp) in West Yellowstone. After college, Jack continued skiing, becoming a Master’s National Champion skier, and has been a Fall Camp coach since 1985. In his spare time, Jack can be found biking, hiking in the mountains, or checking out the view while flying a plane.
