Rachel joined WYSEF in 2019 as a board member because of her passion for helping others to discover the joy of the outdoors especially cross-country skiing. When the Program Director position was offered to her in 2020, she enthusiastically accepted, excited to facilitate the promotion of the many activities WYSEF sponsors. Rachel grew up in Northern New Mexico and spent most her time alpine skiing in Taos. She found a love for basketball, playing Division 1 Basketball for the University of New Mexico. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science; being active and focusing on health have always been important to Rachel. West Yellowstone became Rachel’s home around 2005 after she and her husband had spent a few seasons fly fishing the area’s rivers. It was then that she discovered a new world involving hiking, mountain biking, and nordic skiing. Rachel’s free time is spent enjoying these activities with her husband Justin and their two daughters.
