Hegben Lake District Ranger, U.S. Forest Service

I am excited to join the West Yellowstone community and the Hebgen Lake Ranger District. I started as the District Ranger in October of 2023. Previously I have worked on the Custer Gallatin National Forest largely in recreation; most recently as the Bozeman Ranger District Recreation Program Manager. I grew up Nordic skiing in Vermont and in my 20’s worked at Nordic ski areas in Vermont, Idaho, and Montana so gliding on snow is a passion of mine. Rendezvous Ski Trails are a tremendous community asset and opportunity for locals and visitors to experience the National Forest. The world class skiing is the result of a partnership between the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation, Destination Yellowstone (West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce) and the U. S. Forest Service. This partnership is a model for how community-focused organizations can work with land managers to cooperatively manage and operate recreational facilities. The Hebgen Lake Ranger District is grateful for the amazing community support and the volunteers that contribute to the success of Rendezvous Ski Trail operations.
