Todd is a lifelong skier with extensive experience in cross country ski instruction, coaching, touring, and racing. Now settled in Putney, Vermont, he has worked in skiing as a race director for Madshus, taught at ski schools in Vermont, the Adirondacks, and Colorado, and coached in the Adirondacks, Colorado, and Washington State. Blending a background in outdoor education with teaching and coaching skiing he reduces complex technical skills into fun and understandable concepts. Expert skiers and beginners share the common need to ingrain and sharpen their most basic fundamentals of skiing. Todd competed at a national level for 15 years with two World Cup starts, competing in FIS Swiss Week, several Olympic selection events, FIS North American races, and a metric butt load of US National Championships. Other outdoor pursuits include climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, canoeing, and biking of several flavors. He has worked as an environmental consultant and volunteers in local land use and preservation. The West Yellowstone Fall Camp has been an early season staple for Todd and friends since the 1980s. He believes mixing skiing, resting, and eating while reconnecting with friends makes the “West Experience” an essential element of the American ski community. Come have fun!
